This morning my daughter, who is in 1st grade asked me if I knew any smart people. Naturally, I suggested that I was a smart person that she knows.
"No," she said, "someone really smart."
"Like Dad? Uncle Pete? Grandpa?"
"No, someone really, really smart. Someone who knows Latin."
See, they're studying Martin Luther in school right now and her teacher said that Martin Luther knew Latin and that Latin is the hardest language in the world to learn.
Well, I took two quarters of Latin in college and I still have my textbooks!! So I had a good time pulling out my Latin textbooks and my copy of Winnie the Pooh in Latin as well. Hey, for once, I actually impressed my kids!
