A new low

Okay, I've sunk to a new low this week. I already hate admitting that I watch Nip/Tuck and now I think I'm hooked on The Surreal Life. Ugh, it's like I can just feel my brain cells dying as I watch this dreck but I'm somehow powerless to stop it!

Worse than that, Lost premiere's this Wednesday on ABC and then the new episodes of ER start up on Thursday. That's just way too many TV programs for me to be interested in. When am I going to have time to watch The Simpsons??

My only possible "justification" for watching so much TV is that I am hand piecing a quilt right now and at least I'm sewing while the TV is on. And did I mention I'm sewing by hand?? It's just some little nine-patch pieces, but I've just got this goal of hand sewing my next quilt.

Stay tuned (no pun intended) for more details.

Inducing Unintended Consequences for Libraries

Okay, here's more to think about.

Downhill Battle - Music Activism

I take a certain amount of pride in my apathy, but I think this is a cause I can support.

If I've said it once....

...I've said it a thousand times!

It's either DVD or else it's VHS!

It's not DVD or VIDEO!

DVD's and VHS tapes are VIDEOS!!

Get it straight, world!!

Wither blog?

So why haven't I posted anything for so long? I was tired. August was an especially exhausting month.

Michelle had her appendix out, I had to finish that freaking quilt (and then start another one), and then school started which meant meetings and shopping for school supplies. You wouldn't think shopping for school supplies would be exhausting, but some items were just hard to find. Like big glue sticks. There were lots and lots of little glue sticks but Wal-Mart and Target seemed to be out of the big glue sticks every time I tried to go buy them.

At least Clark and Sophia's wedding is this weekend. So that stress will be over soon enough.

My big dilemma right now is shoes. Since it's past Labor Day, I don't know if I can wear my "off-white" shoes to the wedding. They're more "sandal-y" and the weather is supposed to be pretty warm on Saturday, so they would appear appropriate, but are they too close to white to wear??

Today I actually wore my black knee-high boots! I wonder if it's too early to start wearing them. The weather has turned cooler, so the temptation is high. The real problem is that I don't have a nice pair of "in between" black shoes. It's either the boots or the sandals. What I really want is a pair of these.
