I think I'm a linguist in librarian's clothing
this kind of stuff is fascinating!! (And I'm not being sarcastic, either.)
Last week I bought myself a book of various word puzzles. I've had such a blast doing the puzzles all week. The only ones I'm no good at are "jumbles" where you have a set of letters and you have to re-arrange them into a word.
I think my problem is that I'm too auditory to be any good at jumbles. I tend to read the letters as they are, all jumbled up, then the sounds get stuck in my head, so I have a hard time re-arranging the letters and making new sound bits to put together into new words.
