Two of my favorite things!

X-Play and Futurama

I was pleasantly surprised that they reviewed the Futurama game. I didn't think they would see it at all. We do own the game, however, and I have to say that their review is really dead on. It's not a great game. Pretty frustrating, really. Oh sure, the killing is fun, but the jumping is horrible!

It's a big huge TV wasteland...

So what's the deal with Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series anyway? I've never seen one episode and have a friend who keeps pestering me to watch it. Like I need more TV to watch. I'm really content with my few regular shows:

The Simpsons
(Oh, am I embarrased to admit it) Nip/Tuck

For now, those are the shows set on the PVR. And last night was the season finale for Nip/Tuck, so I can take that off the PVR until January, I think. We also own Futurama seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, so I feel like I don't need to record that either.

I also like the Travel channel. They have some really interesting shows that make me want to go on vacation. (Even more than I usually do.)

I don't mean to sound completely elitist or erudite, but I'd much rather spend my time reading or playing on the PS2.

A good salesman

He he. I've got a great CDWG sales rep. Today he tells me he thought I had to be in my mid-twenties. Well, you're only off by about 10 years, but you did manage to pretty much lock in all my computer purchasing business!!
Hey look! A new post!

Spleesh! Am I embarrased. No posts since October 7? What the heck have I been up to??

Oh yeah 6 new PC's at work, 4 of them for the public! Yargh! Help me Obi-Wan!

Getting the house all decked out for Halloween! I had to have it all ready by Oct 17 for Bunco. And I just barely pulled that off.

I read The Folk Keeper by Franny Billingsley and Aria of the sea by Dia Calhoun.

The Folk Keeper, IMHO, was a far better book. Aria wasn't all that bad, really, it was just more "YA" than Folk Keeper. I can see why teen girls would like the Aria book, though. The girls in the book just acted a lot more like modern girls than the female main character of Folk Keeper. But Folk Keeper was more lyrical in style and more complex in story. On to the next book!!

What a geek I am...

It's here! It's here! I just my upgraded version of Fortres. What's the first thing I do with it. Why, sit down and read the manual!

Really, I'm not kidding. I am a reader of manuals. That's pretty much how I learned to use OCLC's services back in the days before there was Passport or Prism. Way back in the days when we thought we really needed shelflist cards.
