I was going to compare starting a blog with getting a new cell phone. You have this object in your hot little hands and wonder who you should call first.

But it's not really like that. Starting a blog is more like being invited up on stage and having the opportunity to say anything you want, but then you get up there and you can't think of anything profound to say.

Back at Con U., Steven C. Frenzel once posed: if you could write three things on a chalkboard for others to read what would you write? I think my response was along the lines of:

1. God loves you.
2. Through Jesus you can be assured of a place in heaven.
3. Life is short. Eat dessert first.

Yeah, that sums it up nicely.
